The opportunity

EY Netherlands is looking for a General Ledger employee. The General Ledger department is part of Finance and consists of four employees and a team leader. This team is responsible for the correct general ledger administration of EY Netherlands and its participation. As a financial spider in the web, the department maintains regular contact with both internal and external stakeholders. Due to the globalization of EY and outsourcing of sub-processes, the work area also has an international character

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you work independently, supporting the team leader by monitoring process quality, performing reconciliations, and addressing ad hoc questions from internal and external stakeholders. A proactive attitude, numerical insight, and an understanding of financial / accounting processes are essential. We seek an enthusiastic, team-oriented colleague with strong interpersonal skills.

Your key responsibilities

• Performing account reconciliations
• Posting journal entries (accruals, prepayments, provisions, reclassifications)
• Reviewing ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness
• Intercompany reconciliation and booking
• Performing Month-End activities
• Ensuring data integrity in the financial accounting system
• Identifying opportunities for process optimization
• Providing financial insights and support to business partners
• Maintaining effective working relationships with clients
