The Technical Service Representative CEE will cooperate with Technical Representatives in Lelystad. The Technical Service Representative is a highly distinguished level and requires exceptional knowledge of all product lines, technologies, and customer business groups, you will provides expert, comprehensive technical direction and assistance to customers regarding the use of the Automotive product lines in close cooperation with with the sales functions. Responsibilities may include responding to expert level questions and concerns, serving as an expert in all technologies, and generally serving as the highest level of technical support for internal and external customers.
- Ensures customer quality and service expectations are met.
- Supports customers with troubleshooting, general technical support, color support and recommends process improvements in the body & paint department of the end users.
- Eliminates or reduces customer complaints.
- Helps achieve or exceed sales and margin goals of the sales department to which he is assigned.
- Helps increase volume growth.
- Communicates competitive information, new products and selling issues to Automotive Sales Managers.
- Attends coatings seminars and trade shows and holds technical / sales meetings for customer groups.
- Manages product trials at designated customer facilities.
- Maintains contact with laboratory on current technical issues.
- Assists with equipment installation or equipment modifications / adjustments.
- Conducts technical training seminars at customers’ facilities.
- Evaluates product complaints and decides the best way to resolve problems.
- Advises customers of product line changes and improvements.
- Maintains expertise of the tools and equipments used in paint & body repair shops.
- Trains customers on product knowledge and application methods.
- Assists Area Sales Managers by preparing samples, panels, etc. for presentations.
- Maintains customer technical service issues in our CRM system.
- Will travel into the CEE region to execute his job assignment on ad-hoc basis in other countries.
- Will execute theoretical and practical training sessions in our training centers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Operations Management, or related field is preferred. English / Polish / other Slavic languages will be as added value.
- Required : minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Service Representative in the car refinishes segment
- Preferred : knowledge of global competition’s product portfolio.
- Ability to hand-spray all major coatings technologies.
- Experience of working with automatic colour-matching systems
- Prioritizing and assigning work;
- Utilizing comprehensive industry and product applications concepts and procedures;
- Appling sales and research and development principles;
- Applying expert technical principles and practices within the business group;
- Providing technical and line guidance and advice to improve quality and efficiency; Working with all levels of personnel;
- Providing comprehensive technical customer service;
- Managing sensitive accounts;
- Communicating advanced technical and operational concepts to facilitate sales;
- PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applications as required;
- Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction
