Purpose of the role
The Legal Counsel provides legal support across a variety of business areas, focusing on less complex matters and supporting Amway business sustainability with contractual, commercial, and regulatory requirements. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, supporting corporate governance, and assisting in the resolution of pre‑trial vendor disputes. This position works in close collaboration with business stakeholders, the Legal team, and external counsel.
What you’ll do
- Support in providing legal advice on routine matters, under supervision of the Legal team and / or external counsel.
- Prepare and review standard vendor agreements, support business clients and Procurement in contract negotiations.
- Provide assistance in handling pre‑trial vendor disputes by preparing documentation and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate support in corporate governance matters.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with direct selling and anti‑pyramid regulations.
- Review sales, marketing, and communication materials, as well as other business documents, to check for legal accuracy.
- Apply legal research and strong contractual / commercial law foundation; general business knowledge of Amway business model required.
