What You’ll Do :

  • Architect, build, iterate, and manage backend services that power the global Inkitt Platform.
  • Develop API contracts, create documentation, and support application teams in developing against those APIs.
  • Build the frontend of applications with appealing visual design.
  • Build and ship new features at high velocity and high quality.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to achieve product goals.
  • Contribute ideas to the product's roadmap.
  • Drive architecture and technology choices to enable a world-class user experience.
  • Continuously explore new technologies to elevate the user experience and stay at the forefront of a rapidly changing digital environment.

What You'll Bring :

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with various back-end infrastructures.
  • Expertise in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and React.
  • Experience with Docker and Sidekiq; experience with CI pipelines, Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud, Kafka, or RabbitMQ is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caches, and CDNs.
  • Excellent communication skills; mentoring experience is a plus.
  • A drive to improve code quality, user empathy, and delivery speed.
