Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Job description5+ years of professional software development experience with various back-end infrastructures. Expertise in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and React. Experience with Docker and Sidekiq; experience with CI pipelines, Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud, Kafka, or RabbitMQ is a plus. Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caches, and CDNs. Excellent communication skills; mentoring experience is a plus. A drive to improve code quality, user empathy, and delivery speed. Autonomous, solutions-oriented, data-driven, quick to action, and a high-functioning workaholic. What You’ll Do :
- Architect, build, iterate, and manage backend services that power the global Inkitt Platform.
- Develop API contracts, create documentation, and support application teams in developing against those APIs.
- Build the frontend of applications with appealing visual design.
- Build and ship new features at high velocity and high quality.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to achieve product goals.
- Contribute ideas to the product's roadmap.
- Drive architecture and technology choices to enable a world-class user experience.
- Continuously explore new technologies to elevate the user experience and stay at the forefront of a rapidly changing digital environment.
