Disaster Recovery Governance Program Lead (Warsaw, 30% remote) – Frontex
Profile: DR Governance Program Lead (Disaster Recovery).
Place of performance: On-site service provision at Frontex Headquarters – 70% on-site, 30 % remote.
Duration of the mission: 48 months.
Security Clearance: Is required (required from day 45 of assignment) - CONFIDENTIAL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL.
Travel: Occasionally (8.000€ x 4 years for travel costs).
Minimum level of education: Level 6.
Minimum English language skills: B2.
Minimum IT relevant experience: 5 years (3 years in relevant roles).
Award Criteria: 50% Price / 50% Quality.
Minimum required scoring for interview: 50%.
Rate: Flexible. The rate offered depends on the candidate’s level, in accordance with the European public grading system. Further details are available upon discussion.
· NWH: 220 days x 4 years.
· EWH: 20days x 4 years.
Required technical certificates:
Must have:
· ITIL 4 Foundation or equivalent.
And at least 1 certification among:
· CBCI or equivalent.
· DRI ABCP / CBCP or equivalent.
· ISO 22301 Lead Implementer or equivalent.
· Or an equivalent certification in Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery.
* Each equivalent certification must be recognized internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority).
Knowledge and Skills
· [01] Good understanding of ICT Disaster Recovery governance and operational readiness within IT / Data Centre environments.
· [02] Ability to translate BCM requirements, BIA outputs and continuity expectations into structured ICT DR activities and deliverables.
· [03] Strong coordination skills across infrastructure, operations, applications, security, IAM, vendors and BCM stakeholders.
· [04] Experience in DR planning, test cycle coordination, reporting and remediation tracking.
· [05] Ability to maintain DR governance artefacts, review cycles, ownership models and readiness reporting.
· [06] Working knowledge of backup, restore, replication, failover/failback and service recovery concepts.
· [07] Good understanding of major incident, change and problem management processes.
· [08] Ability to define and monitor DR readiness KPIs, dashboards and action status.
· [09] Strong communication, facilitation, follow-up and escalation management skills.
· [10] Ability to manage documentation and reporting in controlled information domains, including Unclassified and Restricted.
Specific requirements
· [01] 5+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure coordination, resilience, continuity support or service governance.
· [02] At least 3 years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity support, resilience coordination or service recovery governance.
· [03] Proven experience in coordinating cross-functional tasks and follow-up across multiple technical teams.
· [04] Experience in maintaining plans, reports, action trackers, test calendars or governance artefacts.
· [05] Ability to support management reporting and structured stakeholder communication.
· [06] Experience in regulated, critical or audit-sensitive environments is an advantage.
· [07] Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive actions to closure.
· [08] Ability to work as a member of the Data Centre Team while supporting the Data Centre Team Lead in ICT DR-related activities.
· [09] Already holds a valid Personal Security Clearance (PSC) at least on CONFIDENTIEL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL level (non-mandatory requirement).
Typical tasks and responsibilities
· [01] Support the Data Centre Team Lead in coordinating the ICT DR workstream within the Data Centre Team.
· [02] Contribute to ICT DR plan definition, review and upkeep for in-scope services.
· [03] Coordinate the DR planning, testing, reporting and remediation cycle.
· [04] Maintain DR readiness visibility through dashboards, evidence status and action tracking.
· [05] Act as the Data Centre Team focal point for ICT DR coordination towards BCM and internal stakeholders.
