Data Center Technician (DCT) Warsaw

TechTrees client is hiring a Data Center Technician for a long-term infrastructure programme supporting a major EU agency in Warsaw.

This is a hands-on role for someone experienced in rack & stack structured cabling hardware troubleshooting asset management and physical data center operations.

What youll do

• Install and decommission servers switches and other data center equipment
• Perform rack & stack activities and maintain rack layouts
• Manage structured cabling patching and labelling
• Troubleshoot physical server and network hardware
• Maintain hardware inventory and asset records
• Receive equipment and manage the hardware lifecycle
• Support maintenance and RMA processes
• Conduct inventory audits and capacity checks
• Prepare and execute infrastructure changes
• Maintain data center documentation and maintenance records
• Coordinate third-party contractors working on-site

What were looking for

• 3 years of overall IT experience
• 2 years in physical data center operations
• Hands-on rack & stack and cabling experience
• Knowledge of server network PDU and data center infrastructure
• Basic LAN switching and patching knowledge
• Hardware troubleshooting experience
• Familiarity with asset management inventory and change-management processes
• Bachelors degree or higher
• Valid Category B driving licence
• English at B2 level
• Comfortable working with heavy equipment and in typical data center environments
• Ability to work on-site in Warsaw
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain CONFIDENTIEL UE / EU CONFIDENTIAL security clearance

Nice to have

• Experience managing third-party contractors
• Familiarity with formal change-management processes
• Experience handling hardware maintenance and RMA workflows
