Senior Data Engineer (Remote)

Czym będziesz się zajmować?

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an ingestion pipeline processing billions of events daily against a defined SLA.
• Support teams building and optimizing complex data pipelines.
• Identify platform problems with other engineering teams.
• Develop tools and frameworks for the data platform.
• Support data scientists and analysts with production workloads.
• Contribute to ML platform and streaming initiatives.
• Establish software engineering and data development practices.

Kogo poszukujemy?

Key requirements:

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building, scaling and operating production-grade data platforms or infrastructure, including reliability, observability, performance and self-service.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, large datasets and complex ETL pipelines.
• Experience with cloud providers such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Strong programming skills in Spark with Scala and Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git.
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices and principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivation, initiative and ownership of problems.
• Work from the European Union region and a valid work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• Kafka or another messaging system.
• Kubernetes.
• Streaming platforms.
• BigQuery or Redshift data warehouse administration.
