QA Engineer – Mobile, Desktop & Web for Interactive Sheet Music App @ Tomplay

Job summary:

We're looking for a QA Engineer to take ownership of day-to-day testing across our apps and website: iPad, Android tablets and phones, Windows, macOS and web.

This is not a checklist-execution role. We don't want the same 200 manual checks repeated every release. We're looking for someone who can identify what is genuinely high-risk, prioritise testing accordingly, and use AI and automation to reduce repetitive manual work.

We value judgment, curiosity, initiative and speed more than years of experience. If you have one or two years of QA experience—or you're moving into QA from a related technical role, learn quickly, and already use AI in your workflow—we'd like to hear from you.

We are open to full-time candidates, freelancers, and specialized QA agencies that can provide a dedicated tester matching the requirements below.

QA:

• Тестувати нові версії застосунку на iPad, Android, Windows, macOS і вебплатформі з точки зору реального музиканта-користувача.
• Проводити функціональне, регресійне, операційне та наскрізне (end-to-end) тестування робочих процесів на всіх підтримуваних платформах.
• Створювати та підтримувати тест-кейси, додаючи нові сценарії та видаляючи застарілі.
• Визначати пріоритети тестування на основі ризиків, приділяючи першочергову увагу критично важливим процесам, таким як реєстрація на пробний період, підписка, покупки та доступ до облікового запису.
• Використовувати AI-інструменти, такі як Claude, Copilot або аналогічні, для створення тест-кейсів, написання та підтримки скриптів автоматизації й скорочення обсягу повторюваної ручної роботи.
• Розвивати автоматизоване smoke- та регресійне тестування для критично важливих сценаріїв користувача.
• Оперативно проводити повторне тестування виправлених помилок і реліз-кандидатів, надаючи пріоритет проблемам, критичним для релізу.
• Створювати чіткі та зрозумілі баг-репорти із зазначенням кроків для відтворення, платформи, версії збірки, фактичного та очікуваного результату.
• Завчасно повідомляти про ризики, якщо терміни можуть вплинути на повноту тестування.

,[What we require from you:, , You're a musician. You play at least one instrument, you read notation, and you have a working grasp of music theory. You don't need to be a professional or a conservatory graduate, but you should be comfortable reading a score and not thrown by things like MIDI, transposition, time signatures or the difference between a part and a full score. A classical background is a plus. If you already use Tomplay, tell us what you play on it., , You actively use AI in your QA workflow. You already use tools such as Claude, Copilot or similar AI assistants as part of your working process—not just experimentally—and can explain a real QA or automation workflow you've built with them., , You're comfortable across platforms. You don't need experience on all five of iPad, Android, Windows, macOS and web, but you need access to at least a computer and a tablet, and the appetite to get up to speed on the rest quickly., , You're technically curious. Comfortable in browser dev tools, able to read a log file, and able to make a reasonable guess at whether a bug is front-end, back-end or environment before handing it over., , You want to get good at this. You're organised, autonomous, analytical, and you'd rather learn a better way of testing than defend the way you were taught., , You write and speak fluent English., , Any of the following would be a plus:, , · Any hands-on test automation, with any framework (Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Selenium or similar)., , · AI orchestration for QA.
