About The Adjutant Generals Office:

Role Overview:

Performs cleaning general maintenance and minor repairs to building(s) equipment and grounds at the National Guard Armory located in Warsaw Indiana. You will be responsible for the entire facility and grounds excluding those areas of military responsibility such as: kitchens (except when included in a rental agreement) OMS areas military supply rooms vehicle compounds POL building and other like areas. You will provide daily maintenance task to include: cleaning minor repairs with electrical plumbing and carpentry. Maintain the outside of the facility to include mowing weed eating landscaping. Inform superviser of any issues found in or arouond the facility. Work with Armory personnel for any needs they have to better the facility. Always strive to maintain a facilty that is inviting to the public. A CDL is not required.

Salary:

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this roles are as follows:

• Makeroutine carpentry plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Checkheating air conditioning kitchen laundry and maintenance equipment for efficiency and make necessary repairs.
• Installcurtain rods toilet paper and toothbrush holders tile screens window glass doors wiring and conduits plumbing fixtures and other varied items.
• Checkand repairelectrical appliances motors pumps fire alarm systems thermostats doorbells and buzzers.
• Repairlocks make keys and provide secure facility and property.
• Assista skilled trades person on major projects.
• Workday attendance at assigned worksite(s) is an essential function of this position.

What Youll Need for Success:

Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:

• Working knowledge of and ability to use skills in carpentry masonry plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and to handle simple mathematical problems per the mentioned duties above.
• Ability to determine malfunctions of electrical and mechanical equipment and make simple repairs.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand schematics.
• Ability to set tile finish concrete and plaster and to do tuck pointing.
• Be willing to travel with reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools.

You must satisfy the following requirements to continue employment:

• Must possess a valid commercial drivers license (CDL) or must obtain within 90 days of employment.
