Box is scaling Box AI and our internal analytics to power smarter decisions across the business.

You will design and deploy AI agents and operational solutions that strengthen both IT and business workflows. These agents will be engineered to minimize hallucinations and prioritize security in their models, data handling, and decision-making. You will also build and maintain MCP servers and developer tools that surface actionable data insights and make it easier for teams to act on them. Overall, your work will connect secure, reliable infrastructure with practical AI capabilities to accelerate informed, low-risk decision-making across the organization.

• An AI-first practitioner who seeks to use AI to accelerate decisions and amplify impact.

• 5+ years software engineering experience; 2+ years building ML/AI products or agent systems.

• Strong Python skills; familiarity with Go/Java/TypeScript preferred.

• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and vector stores (FAISS/Milvus/Weaviate).

• Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and model evaluation/validation techniques.

• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.

• Observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).

• Security and compliance familiarity (IAM, encryption, GDPR/HIPAA awareness).

• Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with LangChain, Ray, or agent frameworks.

• Familiarity with semantic metadata/catalog tooling (Dataplex, Looker).

• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), chaos testing, and load testing.

• Track record of reducing hallucinations and improving model reliability.

• Operational expectations:

• Troubleshoot production issues.

• Participation in cross-functional design and review processes.

• Regular security reviews and compliance audits.

• An engineer with hands-on experience in cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).

• Able to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across IT, Security, and business without direct authority.

• An effective communicator who translates technical concepts into clear guidance for non-technical audiences.

• Nice to have: Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery administration, data access/security modeling, and regulated data classification experience.
