We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Database Administrator to support mission-critical Linux-based platforms within Enterprise Infrastructure. You will provide operational database support for IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG), IBM Connect:Direct, BMC Control-M. This is a production-facing role including weekend change implementation and participation in an on-call rota.

• 5+ years as Database Administrator in production environments
• Strong Linux knowledge (RHEL)
• Hands-on experience with Oracle
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with:
  o Backup / recovery
  o Replication / HA
  o Performance tuning
  o Log analysis

Optional

• Shell scripting / basic automation
• Financial services / regulated environment exposure
• Experience supporting batch / file transfer platforms
