Financial Controller – IT Operations (Retail) m/f

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller (m/f) to support the IT and Technology Operations area within a leading international retail organization. This role focuses on financial management, cost control, and service delivery oversight for IT services supporting stores, offices, and distribution centers across multiple markets.

You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, driving budget efficiency, and ensuring value delivery from IT vendors and services. Working closely with technology and business stakeholders, you will provide the financial transparency and insight necessary for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the budgeting and forecasting process for IT operations across several markets, including regular follow-ups and variance analysis.
• Ensure financial visibility across the IT function to support informed decision-making and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Oversee invoice management and implement efficient routines for financial tracking and reporting.
• Support procurement activities by preparing financial analyses, cost comparisons, and business cases for IT and support service contracts.
• Monitor and manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with financial terms and maximizing value for the organization.
• Coordinate financial aspects of IT change initiatives, keeping stakeholders aligned on budgetary impacts and forecasts.
• Drive continuous improvement in controlling processes to enhance cost efficiency, transparency, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with service delivery teams to align financial planning with IT service roadmaps and performance goals.

Who We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a candidate with:

• Proven experience in financial controlling or business controlling, ideally within IT, technology operations, or shared services.
• Strong understanding of budget management, forecasting, and cost analysis in a multi-market environment.
• Hands-on experience in invoice handling, vendor management, and contract compliance.
• A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to financial problem-solving.
• A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate across functions and regions.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing business environment.
