Backend Engineer

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated senior Backend Engineers to join the Client Core team. If you're excited to shape internal platforms and create critical workflows, this opportunity is for you.

About the Client Core team

Client Core is part of the Client Value Stream within Tech, building and enhancing our internal platform to support scalable, efficient and high-performing solutions. You’ll join a small and growing team consisting of three engineers and a tech lead, focused on delivering impactful and critical internal products.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and deploy products, ensuring high standards of code quality, security, and maintainability.

• Contribute to technical discussions and best practices for backend development, focusing on data-critical, scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Collaborate with senior engineers, team leads, and tech leads to align technical decisions with product objectives.

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment.

• Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needs.

Desired Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of professional Experience in backend/full stack development.

• Demonstrated Experience in developing and deploying complex backends.

• Deep knowledge of software development best practices, including CI/CD, testing strategies, and performance optimization.

• Proficiency in at least one or more backend oriented languages such as GoLang, Java, etc.

• Familiarity with database technologies, especially relational (, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

• Hands-on Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Expertise in data pipelines such as dbt is a plus.

• Expertise in full-stack development using TypeScript, React, and is a plus.

• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS is a plus.
