Go Developer

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Go Developer for a project developing and scaling a fast delivery platform and enhancing customer experience within a growing digital ecosystem.

Our customer is a technology-driven digital platform that brings together multiple consumer and business services within a unified ecosystem. It focuses on enhancing user experience, improving operational efficiency, and enabling seamless digital interactions through modern technologies, scalable infrastructure, and continuous innovation. The platform supports both individual users and commercial partners while expanding its capabilities to meet evolving market needs.

The project is focused on developing and scaling a fast delivery service for orders from cafés, restaurants, and retail stores within a broader digital ecosystem. As a newly launched product, it aims to expand its capabilities, improve the customer experience, and support rapid business growth.

Responsibilities

• Developing features in Go-based cargo services: gathering and clarifying requirements with Product Managers, estimating tasks, designing solutions, writing code, and delivering features to production.
• Developing and enhancing the order lifecycle using Temporal, including workflows, activities, signals, and updates (cancellation, modification, forced completion), while maintaining determinism and performing replay testing.
• Maintaining integrations, including external APIs for integration partners (compatible with Yandex Delivery API).
• Developing and maintaining microservices and internal platforms.
• Designing architectural solutions and improving system performance.
• Covering changes with unit and functional tests using fixtures and mocks of external services.
• Reviewing colleagues' merge requests (MRs) and documenting significant technical decisions in RFCs or ADRs.
• Participating in planning, code reviews, and ensuring service stability.
• Collaborating closely with product teams and business stakeholders.
• Writing clean, modular, testable code focused on scalability and reliability.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Go and 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Go goroutines, channels, context, and error handling mechanisms, with experience identifying and resolving memory leaks and race conditions.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL, including transactions and locks, indexes, query execution plans, and zero-downtime migrations.
• Experience with message brokers such as NATS or Kafka.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, including REST and OpenAPI, gRPC, timeouts, retries, and data consistency across services.
• Experience designing and maintaining microservices architecture, with a solid understanding of scalability and reliability principles.
• Strong understanding of multithreading and concurrency, with the ability to write high-quality, testable code.
• Experience writing unit tests with mocks and functional tests using Docker-based infrastructure.
• Experience operating services in Kubernetes, including monitoring metrics with Prometheus and analyzing logs and traces in Grafana.
• Experience with Git, GitLab CI, and established code review practices.
• Proactive mindset and a drive to improve both the product and development processes.
• Product mindset, with an understanding of feature goals and business value.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with Python and Django Admin.
• Experience working in eCommerce or FoodTech.
