Job Description
Managing & Maintaining OpenShift Infrastructure - multiple OpenShift clusters to manage across virtual, and cloud environments (installation, configuration, upgrades etc.)Researching and implementing ways to automate the management of our infrastructureMonitoring and optimizing system performance, capacity, and availability of the OpenShift environment.Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to container orchestration, networking, storage, security, and other aspects of the OpenShift environment.Taking part in standby duty (on-call rotation) for 24 / 7 support for critical production systems.Collaborating closely with other teams in DOS Sector (infra, networks, systems etc.)Developing and implementing best practices for deploying and managing containerized applications using Red Hat OpenShift.Creating and maintaining documentation for operational processes, procedures, and configurations.Supporting development teams across our growing development, UAT, and production environments on OpenShiftSupporting OpenShift AppDev (ie. containerizing apps and moving them onto OpenShift).Qualifications
Bachelor plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experiencePresents excellent command of English, at least at B2 levelMinimum 3 years experience as a Linux system administrator, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)Minimum 3 years experience directly working in an OpenShift environment.Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS), and experience with cloud-based deployments.Experience in managing multiple OpenShift clusters in virtual and cloud environmentsExperience with database administration (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).Expertise in container orchestration frameworks such as OpenShiftExpertise in troubleshooting issues relating to various aspects of the OpenShift environment (orchestration, storage, security etc.)Expertise in monitoring and optimizing system performance, capacity and availability in an OpenShift environmentStrong scripting and automation skills, with proficiency in Bash, Python, or similar languages.Strong automation skills with proficiency in AnsibleValid Red Hat Certified System Administrator or Red Hat Certified System Engineer certificationValid Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator certificationWorks unassisted and guides, junior staffVery strong sense of responsibility - Accuracy and attention to detailsOpen-minded, excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skillsVery good organizational skillsVery good communication skillsSupportive and helpful personality with a cooperative and service-oriented attitudeAbility to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervisionForward-looking with a holistic approachHigh level of motivation and initiative
