Recruitment for
our client - international company – for the position : RTR Expert.
This role is a subject matter expert on RTR process, executing selected critical monthly RTR processes as well as managing accounting and tax operations of the local country. Further, the role is providing the best practice process, technical guidance and oversight for the development of RTR processes like intercompany, month- and year-end closing activities, accruals, payroll postings, balance sheet accounts reconciliation, audit and statutory financial reporting processes. The role is playing a key role in continuous improvement, testing system changes and validation of updated process documentation within the RTR area. The role reports directly to RTR Team Leader.
Your responsibilities
- Ownership of the entity local compliance deliverables and accounting operations based on the accounting principles provided together with monthly reporting & commentary to Finance
- Responsible for posting journal entries, accruals, and payroll postings as well as ad-hoc journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness of entity periodical financials
- Responsible for managing fixed assets
- Perform critical month-end activities like intercompany reconciliations, other balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls
- Provide VAT reporting, reconciliation of VAT accounts & registers
- As applicable, act as a sparring partner for Plant Controller for controlling tasks, including budget-ing & forecasting (sales / cost)
- Responsible for cashflow forecasting and entity controlling
- Provide data / conduct analytical reviews to support Plant Controller in business partnering to local leadership on revenue, cost and profitability development as well as operational efficiency
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address accounting issues and discrepancies
- Managing internal and external audits, resolving findings promptly
- Be a subject matter expert on selected parts of the RTR process as well as cross-teams finance initiatives, leading problem-solving, process improvements, and collaborating on issues within area of responsibility with Team Lead and process excellence specialists within and outside Finance
- Collaborate across departments to provide functional support, solicits ideas for process / system improvements with an open mind and an eye for continuous improvements and synergies
- Actively contribute to transitions, system migration and implementation for RTR processes
- Initiate the creation, development and maintenance step-by-step work instructions and oversee the review of selected training materials ensuring its accuracy
- Optimizing RTR processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing solutions by taking into consideration compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
- Contributing to the automation initiatives in SAP within area as adequate, e.g., related to RTR re-porting automation
- Responsible for user acceptance testing to verify functionality prior to system changes implemen-tation
- Keeping information confidential and secure them with stringent archiving structure and database backups
- Proactively keeping up with financial policies, regulations, and legislation for area of responsibility
- Understanding how own area of responsibility ties together with rest of organization
- Performing tasks with end customers in mind
- Continuously aligning tasks and priorities with nearest manager proactively
- Performing independently various ad-hoc tasks assigned by manager from time to time
- Consistently meeting individual and team KPIs
Employer requirements
University degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent, ACCA or other Chartered Accountants certificationMinimum 5 years’ experience within RTR area or in a similar roleGood command of spoken and written Italian and English is a must. Other language skills are considered a plusStrong knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and proceduresAdvanced MS Excel knowledge and SAP experience requiredAbility to operate independently and proactively in addressing workforce needs, challenges and expectationsWell organized, very structured and able to complete tasks in same high quality each month meeting the agreed deadlinesStrong communication skills; clear, delicate, and explaining finance for non-finance peopleAbility to plan and conduct informative and effective training programsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills and documented process improvement experiencesPrevious experience from SSC / CoE industryWhat employer offers
