Responsibilities :
Process Expertise and Business Partnership :
- Be seen as a "go-to" information resource for all GA related queries with full ownership for the month end close and reconciliation process
- Work closely with local affiliate finance to understand current activities at the affiliate and ensure these are properly reflected in the financial statements. This includes preparing accounting entries as well as reviewing locally prepared accounting entries to ensure completion and accuracy of entries as well as appropriateness of backup
- Develop and manage monthly trial balance package, including fluctuation analyses
- Ensure adherence to the standard month / quarter / year-end timelines
- Prepare and review account reconciliations in accordance with internal reconciliation methodology
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages along with local statutory financial statements
- Support global / regional GA projects
- Support the overall GA team by demonstrating flexibility in providing cover for team members and training of new team members
- Demonstrate excellence in all interactions with GBS internal customers and business partners
- Focus on measuring and improving the internal customer’s experience with the GBS
- Build and maintain a strong knowledge of your affiliate’s business
Process Governance :
Demonstrate a strong Continuous Improvement oriented approach & help to build a strong Continuous Improvement cultureActively work with the core team members and internal IT groups to identify improvements for processesReport end-to-end process metrics and KPIs to measure service levels, operational effectiveness, process health, and process complianceControls :
Ensure prioritization and encourage a culture of compliance to SOx and other internal controls requirementsEnsure ownership for all applicable SOx & Operational controls related to General AccountingIntegrate controls into process documentation and training materialsAssists auditors (internal & external) by preparing requested data and providing explanation of supporting materials and proceduresWhat You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications) :
University Degree in Business and / or Accounting (or equivalent work experience)3-5 years of experience in RTR or Finance function in SSC / BPO environment, preferably with in-depth knowledge of general accounting processes in a multinational environment as well as US GAAP / IFRS technical accountingProven analytical, problem solving, and communication skillsProven control orientation based on prior operational business rolesAbility to respond flexibly to customer needs, effectively managing expectationsAbility to work across cultures and across diverse management stylesAbility to handle complexity and utilize analytical skills, with attention to detailAbility to effectively prioritize and complete key tasks and deliverables while demonstrating full ownership & accountabilityAbility to work in global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners of all levels & disciplines, especially affiliate Project Managers outside of FinanceFluency in English languageExperience with SAPWhat will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) :
CPA, CIMA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant or equivalentAdditional Information :
