Senior Firewall Engineer with Check Point and Python

The project and the teamWe are a team of Network and Software Engineers working on automated firewall configuration migration workflow and client side implementations. Our Engineers support projects with their knowledge of networks and hands-on experience to deliver a working service from start to finish.Other things to know : Every team member gets onboarded via an online training course which includes a case study, live training sessions, lab and individual assignmentsWe are working in a multi-vendor environmentWe collaborate closely with Professional Services engineers on the customer sideThe client is based in the USWe work on multiple interesting projects at a time, so we may invite you to an interview for another project if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.Your roleAs a part of the project team, you will be responsible for : Conversion and migration of firewall configuration into the Customer’s security platformAnalysis of the Customer’s network environment and creating migration workflow per each use caseWorking with the Customer to deliver a working solution and ensuring a successful deployment to their production environmentCollaborating with the Development team to improve the existing automation frameworkDo we have a match?As a Senior Firewall Engineer you should ideally meet the following criteria : Excellent expertise in networks, network security and network platformsHands-on experience with configuration and troubleshooting of Check Point firewallsProven track record in customer-facing rolesHands-on scripting in PythonExperience with production grade deploymentsKnowledge of Linux7+ years of experience in Networks related rolesFluency in English (B2 level minimum)Willingness to learn – you will face challenges that require creativity, individual solutions and teamworkReadiness to work flexible hours (regular meetings with US based customers)Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate : Hands-on experience with other vendors : Cisco (ASA and Firepower), Palo Alto, FortinetDetailed multi-vendor firewall knowledge and configuration migration experienceFirewall vendor certificationExperience in deployment and / or maintenance of SASE / SSE solutions (e.g. Palo Alto, ZScaler)Understanding of DevOps tools and practicesHands-on experience with Ansible, Docker, VMWareHands-on experience with CI / CD pipelinesUnderstanding of best practices in enterprise network securityMore reasons to join usFlexible working hours and approach to work : fully remotely, in the office or hybridProfessional growth supported by internal training sessions and a training budgetSolid onboarding with a hands-on approach to give you an easy startA great atmosphere among professionals who are passionate about their workThe ability to change the project you work on
