Overview
Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is North America’s leading provider of innovative outdoor living solutions. This position is responsible for Accounts Receivable. We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to assist in our accounting department.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and sales.
- Manage collection calls and / or correspondence in a fast-paced goal-oriented accounting department.
- Provide customer service regarding collection issues, and prepare customer refund and account adjustment requests.
- Resolve discrepancies and short pays; monitor and maintain the financial integrity of accounts receivable.
- Research and respond to all accounts receivable inquiries in a prompt manner.
- Work with dispatchers and sales representatives to handle customer requests.
- Communicate and follow up effectively and timely with customers regarding accounts.
- Prepare monthly reports on the conditions of the A / R department.
- Improve receivable turnover through efficient collection follow-up while maintaining favorable customer relations; analyze paying practices and recommend action on delinquent accounts.
- Identify problem accounts and provide regular updates of receivables to manager.
- Research and resolve transactions in the unapplied account; monitor credit hold and customers line of credit.
- Responsible for month end close process around Accounts Receivable; daily customer credit card processing.
- Other duties related to the nature of the job may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office.High degree of comfort with technology and multiple applications.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts.Previous accounting experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of basic accounting math; accuracy in data entry and data research with 10-key operation experience.Strong follow-up, attention to detail, and organization; ability to identify, define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Results-driven with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.What CRH Offers You
