Data Quality & Governance Engineer – On-site in Abu Dhabi

Location : Abu Dhabi (100% on-site) | Start : May 30, 2025 | Duration : 12 months+ | Full-time

Join one of the world’s top airlines , renowned for excellence in service and innovation. You’ll contribute to the development of a brand-new finance data platform , working in an international environment with experts from Europe and India.

About the Project

You’ll be a key contributor to a greenfield data platform project set in an Azure / Databricks ecosystem. The project includes multiple data-focused streams, and your role will focus on data governance and quality assurance across the platform.

What You’ll Do

Define and implement data quality rules – both technical and business-oriented

Establish and manage data lifecycle standards and usage policies

Develop documentation and lead workshops for business users

Collaborate closely with technical teams and data owners to align standards and practices

Must-Have Qualifications

Proven experience in Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives

Familiarity with tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation , or similar

Solid understanding of data cataloging , lifecycle management, and classification

Ability to work with stakeholders and translate business needs into technical specifications

Proficient in Python and SQL

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and Databricks

Strong knowledge of Collibra is a big advantage

Soft Skills & Language

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

English level : B2 or higher (C1 / C2 preferred)
