Your responsibilities

• Supervise General Ledger related activities, including internal&external reporting, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and closing activities.
• Oversee intercompany recharges, billing, and reconciliations in collaboration with Corporate Accounting and Tax.
• Facilitate and oversee Material Ledger closing procedure.
• Manage fixed assets and software, including GAAP and IFRS layers, covering additions, disposals, depreciation, write-offs, and annual physical inventory.
• Coordinate month-end close accruals for A&P, SGA, COS, and Discounts in collaboration with the Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
• Manage and update car, office, and other lease data in Visual Lease, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and conducting monthly transaction reviews.
• Oversee VAT compliance, including reviewing tax registers, calculations, monthly reports to tax authorities, payment reconciliations. Supervise excise tax reporting and reconciliation with 3rd party provider declarations.
• Prepare statutory reports (Annual Report, Financial Statements, and Notes) and transfer pricing reports, including adjustments between local statutory and GAAP, with tax consultants support in Belgium & France.
• CIT preparation and participating in the tax consultants’ review.
• Identify potential gaps and enhance local processes, policies, and SOPs for accounting operations in collaboration with the Country Accounting Manager.

As a Senior Accountant, you will ensure the accuracy and compliance of financials across France and Belgium entities with US GAAP, local statutory requirements and management reporting requirements. This role handles the Record to Report (R2R) function, including closing, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow management, and tax compliance while collaborating with European Commercial and Finance teams. You will be involved in driving process improvements, establishing local policies and internal controls, and enhancing accounting efficiency. In your future role you will support the Accounting Manager in tax reporting, process optimization and any ad hoc analysis. Additionally, you’ll cooperate closely with the GBS Team, PTP Specialists, and CCCA Analysts to ensure accurate backend operations.
