Our client, one of the worlds leading Internet Marketplace Platform companies, is currently hiring for a Senior Financial Reporting Associate to to join their EMEA Reporting & Compliance Team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a project plan and calendar for all compliance deliverables in conjunction with their global compliance partner to ensure adherence to all deadlines.
- Understands the business, operating model and processes in relation to local regulations and requirements.
- Work closely with their compliance partner to ensure changes to local requirements are communicated and understood.
- Work closely with the third-party global compliance partner to ensure accurate and complete information is provided in a timely manner.
- Manage all requests for information and data to support preparation of reporting deliverables and adhoc requests.
- Identify process improvements which will increase efficiency or address service levels with the compliance partner as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting - ensuring all monthly adjustments to the US GAAP ledger are reviewed by the Reporting Manager.
- Responsible for providing explanations on periodical variance analysis of Polish entities.
- Monitor status on all compliance deadlines on a daily basis and communicates any concerns and anticipated issues to the Reporting Manager, seeking to resolve wherever possible.
- Prepare for and participate in weekly compliance calls with the regional team.
- Support information requests related to new product launches in Poland as needed.
- Work independently to research and resolve individual inquiries related to such requests liaising with accounting and tax as needed.
- Stay abreast of regional reporting developments to ensure requirements, current process and reporting remains relevant.
- Keep up to date on upcoming changes to the compliance landscape and determines how these changes will impact the existing compliance process.
- Review of statutory GL account reconciliations on a monthly / quarterly basis and preparation of direct and indirect tax US GAAP balance sheet GL account reconciliations on a quarterly basis.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA / CA / ACCA / equivalent qualification preferredFluent in Polish and English5+ years relevant professional experienceA strong understanding of fundamental accounting concepts, principles and taxTeam player, have ability to work independently and willingness to take on challengesStrong communication skills and ability to communicate key information and status to stakeholdersAbility to interact with all departments and levels throughout our organisationExcellent project and time management skills, ability to prioritise and multitaskExperience with Oracle R12 or another large scale ERP is preferredThis is an immediate start contract position for a minimum period of 6 months, which may extend up to 2 years.
This is an Independent contractor engagement and you would be responsible for paying all necessary taxes in-country.
