Summary
The Asset Management Specialist is accountable and responsible for the maintenance and day-to-day operations of the IT Asset Management process. The candidate will ensure information from across the IT ecosystem is properly recorded and maintained.
Person in this role, together with Asset, CMDB team members and IT Product Owners, will support maintaining IT Asset Management for use in the end-to-end solution, program / project delivery, and ongoing Service Management operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain and manage IT asset data, including hardware and software.
Process requests, modifications, and additions to asset management data.
Manage IT asset invoices, track expenses, and negotiate with suppliers.
Drive cost savings and cost avoidance through license re-purposing and vendor negotiations.
Maintain asset management database integrity and enforce standardized naming conventions.
Support internal and external audits, data security, and enterprise data governance.
Key Skills :
Minimum 3 years of experience in asset management and CMDB.
Experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
ITIL V3 foundation certification and / or ITAM / CSAM certification a plus.
Additional Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, finance, or related field.
Ability to prioritize and organize work, with strong fundamentals in data analytics.
Familiarity with complex IT environments and ability to influence and collaborate in a global matrixed environment.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Nice to Have :
Experience with asset and endpoint management software, such as ServiceNow HAM and Microsoft SCCM.
Knowledge of IT tools, such as Tableau and Power BI.
Familiarity with cloud computing and edge clouds.
