Begin remotely and transition to a hybrid work model in Warsaw (3 days / week on-site in the near future).

The Role : Node.js Developer

We’re seeking a talented Node.js Developer to join our web development team. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend applications and APIs, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain server-side applications using Node.js
Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs
Optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and security
Integrate with front-end components and third-party APIs
Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and team discussions
Debug and resolve production issues
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies

What We’re Looking For

Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js

Experience with Express.js or similar frameworks

Understanding of async programming and event-driven design

Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets

Solid experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL

Familiarity with Git and version control workflows

Experience writing unit tests with Mocha, Chai, or similar

Familiarity with OAuth, OpenID, and authentication middleware

Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and debugging

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Knowledge of microservices architecture

Familiarity with CI pipelines, static analysis, and automated testing

Exposure to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications

Agile / Scrum development experience

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

4+ years of backend development experience using Node.js
