The role

As a Senior Platform Engineer in our Release Engineering team, you will focus on building developer tooling, not individual pipelines. Your work will power CI / CD for 1,000+ engineers across HelloFresh, enabling safe, automated, and scalable releases.

We design and maintain the frameworks, CLIs, and internal platforms that make delivery effortless and reliable. Beyond managing tools like GitHub Actions, Artifactory, and ArgoCD, you will contribute to our in‑house solutions—from service bootstrap CLIs to our Open Application Model (OAM) implementation that abstracts Kubernetes complexity. Our platform also supports fully automated progressive rollouts with Bring Your Own Metrics (BYOM) capabilities, giving teams the confidence to ship at speed.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the developer experience for a large organization while still having a direct impact on day‑to‑day operations.

What you’ll do

• Build and evolve internal developer tooling to enable fast, reliable, and low‑risk software delivery, helping product teams ship more often with higher confidence
• Develop solutions that minimize or eliminate downtime during infrastructure maintenance (e.g., automated strategies for RDS upgrades)
• Advance our OAM‑based approach to abstract Kubernetes complexity and standardize deployment practices across the organization
• Collaborate closely with other squads in the Reliability Platform Tribe and the Foundations Alliance to deliver a cohesive, end‑to‑end platform for the entire HelloFresh Group
• Consult, guide, and educate engineering teams on CI / CD best practices and platform capabilities, fostering a culture of safe and efficient releases
