Chief Accountant

We are recruiting on behalf of an international investment group active in the commercial real estate market. Our Client manages a diversified portfolio of shopping centers across Poland and is currently looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting operations of multiple SPVs, manage the local team, and ensure full compliance with financial and tax regulations.

Chief Accountant

Key Responsibilities :

Managing full accounting of several property-owning SPVs in accordance with Polish accounting standards and group policies

Overseeing month-end closing procedures, group reporting and statutory financial statements

Leading a small in-house accounting team , including task delegation, development and support

Handling tenant settlements : issuing and verifying invoices, reconciling lease payments, managing service charge recharges

Cooperating with tax advisors, auditors, and international finance teams

Monitoring property budgets and operational costs

Supporting process improvements, automation initiatives and system implementations (SAP)

Requirements :

At least 5 years of experience in accounting, including senior or chief accountant responsibilities

Previous experience in the real estate industry , particularly with commercial assets (retail, office, logistics), is highly preferred

Excellent knowledge of Polish accounting standards and tax regulations

Proven ability to manage tenant invoicing and service charge recharges

Strong team management and organizational skills

Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel

Good command of English (daily use in reporting and communication)
