The Role
The role is set-up within our recently opened Poland regional structure with direct reporting to Head of Region and group level reporting to the Operations Manager in our Javelin London office. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure safe and timely transfer of goods to customers and efficient operations at ports and stockyards across the region.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders (customers, shipping agents, port authorities and service providers)
- Planning and overseeing incoming and outgoing deliveries, including frequent visits to the port and manual inspections onsite to ensure quality and service as expected.
- Overseeing logistics, ports and transport services
- Planning and analyzing budgets and expenditures to ensure cost-effective delivery
- Resolving complaints and issues regarding the supply chain
- Safeguarding of commodities through providing guidance on and taking preventive measures, to ensure that commodities are preserved in good condition
- Supervising inventory management
- Overseeing quality control and resolving customers’ claims
- Planning and management of port and stockyard operations
- Supervising, monitoring, and reporting the performance of the shipping agents, port operators, rail carries and other ancillary contractors and ensure efficient operations
- Contributing to the collection and analysis of data through market analysis, research and networking with colleagues within the organization and key external stakeholders
- Establishing and managing operations in locations outside the port terminals
- Ensuring proper screening and blending operations, optimizing yields
Requirements
Fluent in both Polish and English.Self-motivated, proactive candidate with 5+ years’ experience in a similar position.A strong work ethic is required to help drive the team forward.Clear communication skills, with a history of coordinating with a range of external & internal stakeholders to resolve any issues smoothly.Ability to work collaboratively across locations, with a focused interaction with Krakow office and London headquarters.Organizational skills.Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to manage and prioritise workload across time zones and judge priority and urgency of requests and issues.Ability to deliver difficult messages to both client and colleagues.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.Benefits
