Superpowers

you have are

6+ years of professional experience in Game Design or Systems Design on AA / AAA PC or console titles.

At least one shipped title with ownership of AI enemies, combat systems, or player-enemy dynamics.

Proven expertise in Unreal Engine 4, including Blueprint scripting, debugging, and in-editor prototyping.

Strong understanding of AI behavior trees, state machines, combat readability, and systemic enemy design.

Deep knowledge of player feedback loops, threat response, and enemy balancing across different game states.

Familiarity with integrating AI systems into complex, story-rich or player-choice-driven environments.

Experienced in final-stage polish : bug fixing, tuning, balancing, and optimizing for performance and clarity.

Comfortable creating and maintaining detailed system documentation, behavior maps, and tuning guides.

Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills, especially with Animation, Programming, and Level Design.

Passion for immersive sims, narrative shooters, and systemic gameplay design.

Experience working with reactive world systems.

Background in tuning faction-based AI, enemy escalation systems, or stealth-detection mechanics.

Familiarity with scripting gameplay systems beyond AI (e.g., weapons, tools, player abilities).

Comfortable giving feedback on animation timing, combat telegraphing, and player affordances.

Ability to support junior designers or provide mentorship on AI and system tuning.

studio, you will

Own the design and polish of AI systems, including behaviors, perception, reactions, and combat logic.

Collaborate with Engineers and Designers to ensure game systems support the player experience and narrative tone.

Tune enemy archetypes to support player powers, tools, and progression curves.

Iterate on pacing, difficulty, and challenge curves based on playtesting and team feedback.

Author or modify behavior trees and logic to implement new systems or polish existing ones.

Contribute to systemic features such as faction behaviors, alert levels, or environment-aware AI decisions.

Maintain detailed documentation of AI design goals, rulesets, and balancing values.
