The GBS Group ESA services tribe manages solutions used by our internal corporate teams such as Finance, HR, Risk, Audit, Compliance and Legal. The applications in scope are mostly packaged solutions from external vendors and support from tens to thousands of users.
We are looking for an Epic Delivery Owner (EDO, or IT project manager) to assist us to lead and manage several initiatives (new packages / ERP implementation, upgrade of existing packages / infrastructure, enhancements to existing . The applications may be SaaS, Cloud hosted or hosted on premise.
The role requires a mix of team leadership skills, knowledge of industry and standard project management methodology. A sound understanding of the business strategy, the technical challenges and dependencies versus other initiatives will be a key success factor.
This is an opportunity to be in the driving seat of the modernization of our IT corporate support applications, playing a key role in driving the enhancement and the implementation of solutions applying new technologies and highest security and availability standards to deliver customer-focused service enhancements.
Key responsibilities
- Lead one or multiple Epics / Projects of varying complexity involving teams across different locations, divisions & entities, including third-party suppliers, and multiple disciplines in the IT function
- Thanks to a clear understanding of the solutions, their impact and dependencies to the general ecosystem and other initiatives in the roadmap, proactively identify risks, define, drive and track the required actions to mitigate them or resolve issues, demonstrating both business and technical partners to ensure that the projects goals and requirements are met
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and forecasts, including resource allocation, costs, and dependencies, ensuring that the team’s overall resources are used effectively to meet the projects objectives and deadlines, supervising progress and adherence with the baselined plan
- Handle change control processes. Where required, challenge and negotiate changes in project specifications or scope with the project business and IT partners, using the support of business or technical domain experts
- Regularly report progress at all levels of the organization, including senior management, partners and sponsor / business collaborators.
- Ensure Epics / projects adhere to Euroclear’s internal standards and methodologies.
- Lead improvement initiatives and acting as the primary connection between project sponsors / clients and IT services.
Skills and competencies
