Senior Java Developer @ Coforge

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our aviation technology team, working on the IROPS Reaccommodation application and related Digital Connect Products. The role requires strong technical expertise in Java-based web applications and experience with cloud-native databases. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in development, while also contributing to architectural discussions, mentoring, cross-team collaboration, and providing production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core components of our Java-based web application.
• Collaborate with frontend developers on JavaScript / SCSS-based web interfaces.
• Build automation scripts (e.g., Groovy, Shell) to support CI / CD pipelines.
• Ensure system reliability and scalability in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.
• Participate in architectural design reviews and contribute to product modernization initiatives.
• Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge across the team.
• Collaborate with product owners and DevOps to deliver features on schedule.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure application availability for airline customers.
