Toxicology Information Manager

What this position is about – Purpose :

The SRA Toxicology Information Manager is responsible to collate credible, relevant, publicly or internally available information for substances used in the manufacture of JTI products (Conventional Tobacco and Reduced Risk) for worldwide regulatory submission. The incumbent also provides support for the Classification and Labelling (CLP, GHS or other) for JTI ingredients to support the SRA Chemical Regulations program.

What will you do - Responsibilities :

  • Search scientific databases and literature to gather all toxicological and classification and labelling information related to the ingredients used / to be use in JTI products
  • Read scientific articles, dossier, reports and assess / evaluate the relevance of the published toxicological information
  • Based on the identified relevant information, prepare and continuously update toxicological dossiers on the toxicity of ingredients for JTI Products, to be submitted to worldwide regulatory agencies, particularly as a result of current and future legislation
  • Provide support in the classification and labelling of ingredients for JTI ingredient portfolio to support the SRA Chemical Regulations program
  • Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request, contribute towards risk assessment of ingredients and substances

Who are we looking for - Requirements :

  • Degree in toxicology or other appropriate life science
  • Experience in the retrieval of scientific / toxicological information for ingredients or other materials, preferably in the consumer industry. Familiar with working in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent English (both written and verbal)
  • Standard Computer skills (MS Office)
  • Business focused scientist with experience of working in complex regulatory environments.
