About this opportunity

As Senior Accountant Banking you will be responsible for the timely completion of our EMEA close process and the accuracy of the EMEA financial statements under US GAAP and local GAAP. The location of your office will be Wrocław. We can offer a hybrid work model (2 HO days). In this role, you will… Being point of contact for Corporate Treasury Team on our portfolio of legal entities; Reconcile bank accounts & monitor bank balances on a regular basis; Prepare manual bank payments directly on bank platforms; Prepare various journals (TAX / VAT manual payments, refunds, bank charges, credit cards, etc.); Cash clearing; Collaborate and coordinate with different internal business partners (EMEA Finance Team, Corporate Treasury Team, Corporate Accounting Team, Shared Service Center AR and AP based in Costa Rica); Managing Balance Sheet Hedge Forecast for Swiss & BV and being point of contact for Corporate Treasury Team and analysis of hedge effectiveness; Work with Corporate Treasury / EMEA Accounting Managers / other departments on EMEA related hedge forecast effectiveness Preparation and submission of Balance Sheet Hedge Forecast and Hedge Effectiveness Analysis. Process or support KYC, bank account openings and closures in collaboration with Corporate Treasury Team; Prepare training documents / active support all team members with sharing the knowledge and all experience for operations continuity. Coordinate Month end close process in area of general ledger activities; Support of EMEA Accounting activities in the areas of intercompany transactions and fixed assets. In this role, you’ll need … 4+ years of relevant experience (Banking / Treasury); 6+ years of general accounting experience including experience with SOX requirements; Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel Experience with SAP required, Blackline is a plus Bachelor level in accounting / finance. Proficient in general accounting under US GAAP and SOX requirements; Ability to partner with cross-functional groups to drive and influence business solutions; Problem solver, system oriented and strong analytical skills; Excellent written, oral and communication skills in English to work with management and cross-functional groups; Detailed-oriented with effective organizational and time management skills; Knowledge and experience in accounting operations with strong attention to detail.
