Senior Software Engineer - Backend Focused (Viator). Viator, a Tripadvisor company, is the leading marketplace for travel experiences. We offer 300,000+ experiences and a flexible, remote-friendly environment. Viator’s Experiences Engineering team owns viator.com, the Viator mobile apps, and the supporting infrastructure, enabling operators and third parties to use our inventory. We run the systems that help operators build their businesses and support our customer services team to provide world-class service to travellers internationally.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team, working remotely from anywhere in Poland on a permanent contract. We are unable to offer B2B contracts at this time.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers and designers; participate in the full software lifecycle from design, through coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Release code to production on a frequent cadence (every few days) with a daily release cycle.
• Work primarily on the backend with occasional frontend projects.
• Contribute to a backend stack that includes Java, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases, and AWS.
• Bring a hunger to learn; front-end can be taught on the job and is not a primary interview focus.
