Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Team Member with German

On behalf of our client – a leading consulting firm in the financial services sector, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Team Member with German .

Your responsibilities

Support national and international clients in addressing complex accounting and capital markets issues under IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).

Assist banks, insurance companies, and asset managers with accounting and regulatory questions, particularly related to financial instruments, insurance contracts, structured transactions, or regulatory-driven accounting challenges.

Participate in projects such as IFRS conversions, implementation of new accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 9, 15, 16, 17), and accounting matters in M&A or private equity transactions.

Support capital markets projects, including due diligence, prospectus preparation, comfort letter processes, and fairness opinions, collaborating with colleagues from audit, tax, legal, and finance teams.

Contribute to the development of tech-enabled solutions for finance function digitalization, including low-code / no-code tools, data analytics, and process mining.

Work closely with specialists in risk management, regulatory reporting, and IT to deliver integrated solutions for clients.

Employer requirements

Completed or near-completed degree in business administration, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field, ideally with a focus on accounting, finance, or auditing.

Strong interest in IFRS and HGB accounting, with practical experience from internships in auditing, accounting, or consulting.

Excellent analytical skills, proactive attitude, and collaborative mindset.

Comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment;

Fluent in German and English.
