We are currently seeking a proficient Backend Engineer. The ideal candidate will be up to date on big data and search solutions and will work on everything that powers our platform. While crunching data is key, we’re also on the lookout for someone who can apply their creativity and intelligence to extract the maximum value from it, and to create the tools and processes to support this wherever necessary. Our tech and dev processes Data processing facility built using AWS services such as Kinesis, Glue, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Redshift, ECS and ECR, QuickSight, Redis, MongoDB, and DynamoDB Backend services based on Laminas Mezzio and Next.Js PHP8, Python, and TypeScript on the backend, depending on the workload AWS Terraform autoscaled infrastructure Unit and integration tested Jira for project management, configured to align with the Git branching model Backend programming of bespoke solutions Creating data-processing and analysis solutions for internal and external use Providing intermediate data reports for further use in BI tools Integrating data from various sources into a data warehouse Strong expertise in modern PHP development Extensive experience of SQL and relational database engines such as MySQL or PostgreSQL Familiarity with Doctrine ORM or other PHP-based ORMs Experience with Mezzio, Symfony, Laravel, Zend Framework, or an Express.Js-based Node.Js solution Proficiency in English and Polish Knowledge of Python and TypeScript Experience with at least one MapReduce data processing framework such as Spark (PySpark) or Hive Experience with Hadoop-based projects Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, and Glue Experience with a data warehousing solution such as Snowflake or Firebolt MacBook Pro 16-inch for smooth working, together with all the tools you need to excel in your role ~ Pragmatic and technocratic approach to choosing technologies and architecture ~ Fully remote working, with periodic team meetups ~ Private medical insurance ~The opportunity to work with a multinational team of passionate creatives and development experts If you want to help change the way images are published online and expedite a new technology on a global scale, get in touch with your CV and a cover letter so we can put you on our radar.
