About the Role

Are you passionate about building robust backend systems, mentoring engineers, and leading by example? We're looking for a Tech Lead (Backend) with strong technical expertise and collaborative leadership skills to design, develop, and scale our backend systems. You'll work hands-on while guiding a talented team, partnering with Principal Engineers and the Head of Engineering to ensure our platforms meet high standards of performance, reliability, and quality.

Tech Stack & Tools

Languages & Frameworks :

Java 17 / 21, Spring Boot 3.x, Maven

Databases :

PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Aurora, RDS, DocumentDB

Cloud :

AWS (EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, Route 53, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Secrets Manager, ACM)

Infrastructure & DevOps :

Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins (Groovy)

Frontend (Basic Understanding) :

JavaScript, React, NPM, Webpack, Babel

Architecture Patterns :

Hexagonal Architecture, Modular Monolith, Microservices

Testing & CI / CD :

TDD, Testing Pyramid, Functional / Non-Functional Testing, Deployment Strategies

Concepts :

SOLID, Clean Code, Coupling / Cohesion, System Design, Scalability, Security, Observability

What We're Looking For

• Strong backend development experience (Java / Spring Boot preferred).
• Solid understanding of architectural patterns and system design.
• Intermediate knowledge of SRE / DevOps practices and tooling.
• A collaborative mindset—someone who seeks consensus and leads through empowerment, not control.
• Ability to document and communicate technical decisions effectively.
• Experience with mentoring, delegation, and balancing autonomy with accountability.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes, process automation, and DORA metrics.
