International Justice Mission (IJM) is the global leader in protecting vulnerable people from violence around the world. IJM has implemented a collaborative approach to combating violence against those vulnerable for the last 23 years in 30 countries around the world, including Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, collecting international best practices in tackling human trafficking.
IJM’s European Anti-Trafficking Program (EATP) is working to combat cross-border trafficking in Europe, focusing on key routes of trafficking from Eastern Europe to Western Europe. The EATP is working to strengthen cross-border collaboration between law enforcement agencies to ensure a full continuum of care for victims. Based in Romania, IJM’s EATP is expanding operations to Poland to scale protections for victims who are trafficked from and through Poland.
The Survivor Services Manager will be responsible for leading IJM Poland’s Survivor Services Department and developing and managing partnerships with other NGOs who provide social services including shelter services to survivors of trafficking. The Survivor Services Manager will develop and implement IJM’s strategy for social service provision for survivors of Trafficking in Human Beings (THB). This individual will lead a team of social workers and / or psychologists to facilitate holistic, ethical care of survivors within a trauma-informed and multi-disciplinary response.
This position will contribute to the implementation of a multi-year project achieving various objectives in support of the larger goal to combat THB across Poland and Europe. This position requires travel within Poland and some international travel.

- Trauma-Informed Case Management : Survivors of THB are protected by the justice system and empowered to restoration through trauma-informed, multi-disciplinary case management processes.
- Mentorship and Training : Government, shelter and civil society partners are well trained in multi-disciplinary and trauma-informed psychosocial care for survivors of THB that results in reduced vulnerability to re-victimization.
- Partnership Management : Effective partnerships are created with other NGO’s that can provide social services provisions for survivors.
- Gap Analysis and Strategy : Clear analysis of the strengths and gaps within the governmental, shelter and civil society social service capacities and an articulated strategy for strengthening key gaps.
- Team Management : Departmental leadership resulting in staff health, security and professional development.
- Demonstrate IJM’s core values and adhere to IJM disciplines.
Roles And Responsibilities
Apply IJM EATP departmental policies and processes for facilitation of Survivor Services in a manner that is compliant with IJM policies, promotes survivor empowerment, and ensures team safety and wellness.Monitor quality of departmental case management documentation, financial stewardship, and grant compliance.Ensure team cohesion and alignment, both within the department and within the broader IJM Poland team.Requirements
Master’s degree in psychology, or related field.Minimum five years of relevant experience working with survivors of trauma; clinical experience preferred, including provision of therapy.Minimum five years of experience in team management.Experience in networking and partnering with social service providers.Strong understanding of trauma and proven application of trauma-informed approaches within case management and / or clinical interventions.Fluent in written and oral communication in Polish and English.Critical Qualities
