As our Associate Engineering Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by :
- Being responsible for the test and development of new & existing PACS product solutions
- Being a direct line manager for a team of engineers, responsible for delivering business objectives on time and the development & growth of its people
- High level of ownership to be able to drive multi-faceted issues / features till closure
- Contributing to teams' agile processes from start to finish including : Scrum and Kanban management, deployment and testing methodologies, etc.
- Providing Scrum Master duties for the team within the SaFe framework. Where appropriate this can be delegated to a direct report
- Working closely with the Engineering manager to identify / implement opportunities for efficiency improvement within the development process
- Working closely with key stakeholders from multiple departments to meet business objectives
- Participating in management reviews when required, focused on the meeting of objectives
Your Experience and Background include :
Engineering degree or equivalent or suitable experienceMinimum of 7+ years of related industry experienceStrong team-building skills and teamwork orientation; ability to coach, mentor and lead by exampleExcellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organizationAbility to analyze customer issues and assist in Defect TriageShould have experience in developing test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses (plan, scripts, cases)Participate in engineering best practices, such as coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsGood knowledge of QA methodologies, software development lifecycle, testing frameworks & test automation processesGood understanding and skills with CI / CDFluent in programming using C or C#Ability to characterize and improve the performance, reliability and stability of test harnesses / toolsWorking knowledge of various Scripting languages or other scripting toolsPractices methodologies such as BDD, TDDPlans and implements longer term stability and reliability (stress) tests and managing the execution of interoperability tests in a Continuous Integration environmentWhat we can offer you :
