We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to join our Client - a media manufacturer with a long tradition. In this role, you will provides financial insights and manage accounting function of the company. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Your responsibilities
- Manages accounting function of the company, including the development and upkeep of internal accounting policies and procedures. Responsible for preparing financial statements in line with both Polish Accounting Standards and IFRS.
- Oversees the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Acts as the company’s representative in dealings with auditors, governmental bodies, and financial institutions (such as the Central Statistical Office, Tax Authorities, and the Ministry of Finance).
- Assists the accounting team with IFRS-based reporting within the group consolidation system.
- Ensures that all accounting operations and financial reporting comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Evaluates the efficiency of accounting processes and internal controls, and proposes enhancements where needed.
- Supports tax compliance efforts in collaboration with external tax advisors.
- Provides financial insight and guidance to support business decision-making related to accounting matters.
Employer requirements
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, such as Chief Accountant or Independent Accountant.Strong knowledge of the Polish Accounting Act and International Financial Reporting Standards.Experience in a manufacturing environment.Solid understanding of Polish Corporate Income Tax regulations.Background in audit is an advantage.Proficiency in financial and accounting software.Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.Excellent written and spoken English.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.Well-developed organizational and interpersonal communication skills, including working with non-financial departments.What employer offers
