Financial Controller - Senior Analyst

The organization closely examines the general ledger, operating systems and controls across all businesses to ensure the firm’s financial information is accurately depicted for reporting and regulation purposes.

As a Financial Control Senior Analyst in the Financial Control team, you will be performing various controls, checks, analyses and reconciliations in order to make sure the Financial Statements of the JP Morgan Corporate and Investment Bank are accurate.

The most common daily functions and activities owned by Financial Controllers include, but are not limited to the following : balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation, general ledger reconciliation reporting & governance, inter-entity control and governance, manual accounting / bookings to the general ledger and operating systems, and executing the month end close process.

Job   responsibilities

• Be accountable for correctness, integrity and substantiation of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts for your Line of Business
• Partner with FFC teams globally
• Work closely with other Finance functions . Product Control, Asset Class Controllers, Valuation Control Group, Middle Office, Technology, and Operations
• Perform various control procedures to ensure integrity of reported financial results
• Support intercompany eliminations and ad-hoc requests for financial information received from across the Firm
• Understand trade life cycle of investment bank products from trade inception to financial reporting
• Identify process and / or infrastructure enhancements and work with stakeholders enact change
• Take part in hands-on engagement in complex projects
