Solution Architect

Your responsibilities

• Apply strong domain and Decision Driven Design experience, create Solution Design Documents (SDD)
• Own the end-to-end Solution Architecture, collaborating and coordinating input from other architecture disciplines
• Document complex As-Is / Transition / Target Architectures aligned to associated roadmaps
• Understand migrating / decommissioning from legacy technologies to new technologies and how to remove obsolescence

Our requirements

• 3-5 years of Solution Architecture experience
• Experience in IT Systems Design and Solutions Architecture working in Financial Institutions (Retail or Corporate)
• Experience in creating practical, workable architectures that can be aligned to IT principles / standards, whilst following appropriate governance
• Collaboration is critical, as is the ability to communicate complex concepts (both written and verbal)
• Demonstrable experience to diplomatically challenge and influence a diverse set of stakeholders and colleagues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Optional

• Knowledge and / or experience in architecting solutions for Financial Institutions
• Ability to deal with ambiguity with resilience to drive clarity / agreement
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills across competing demands on time
• A strong sense of initiative, with the ability to learn fast (new concepts and skills) and deal calmly with situations under pressure
• Ability to manage risks in a highly regulated business / environment
