Join our great Scandinavian client from the renewable energy area!
Our client is embarking on a major initiative to migrate a significant portion of its application landscape to Amazon Web Services (AWS). To streamline these efforts, an AWS Migration Program has been established, comprising three specialized teams tasked with managing the migration of applications and infrastructure from on-premises and Azure environments to AWS.
One of these teams, known as the Migration Factory, is focused on facilitating and coordinating the migration of applications categorized as Rehost or Replatform. These migration activities involve repeatable processes leveraging common AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, RDS, EKS), which is why the team is referred to as a "factory." The team will be composed of a Senior Project Manager and a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer, ensuring technical and project management expertise.
Requirements for the role :
- Strong experience in AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS, EKS, IAM) and AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Professional or equivalent certifications.
- Expertise in AWS migration & AWS migration services (Datasync, DMS & SCT), in a multi-cloud environment, particularly migrations involving Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent communication skills, combining technical expertise with stakeholder alignment.
- Expertise in optimizing AWS resources for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices, including Kubernetes and CI / CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with AWS Landing Zone Accelerator tools to automate the core service setup.
Must have :
Extended experience in cloud migration tasks, preferably AWS.Migration experience with classic core infrastructure and database migrations. It is paramount that this is within their respective skill, as it is the backbone of most of the migrations we will be handling.Competencies for building core AWS services and technologies are less important as we have an AWS IPL that will manage most of this already, but the candidate must be able to understand the technical challenges and potential problems to be raised.Experiences in AKS to EKS migration, or similar, are good to know but not generally needed in this role.
