Join the Group Financial Risk to have real impact on Group-level senior management decision-making. We are responsible for setting and managing the financial elements of the Risk Management Framework ensuing that solvency and liquidity are appropriately managed across the Group. We provide risk oversight to various elements of the first line including Group Capital as well as broader Group Capital topics. We also support various Group Centre-related entities such as Pension Schemes, Aviva Ventures, Aviva Capital Partners, and the Aviva Group Holding Board.
What will you be doing?
- Prepare and deliver Risk Opinions including senior management briefing for strategic and capital-related papers. Risk oversight of papers presented to the Group Asset and Liability Committee.
- Own and develop the Solvency and Liquidity risk appetites, Risk Preferences, Risk Tolerances, and Risk Triggers.
- Act as a risk partner to the Group 1st line ALM, Treasury and Actuarial teams. Develop deeper relationships across Aviva, for example Aviva Investors, Tax, Legal, Aviva Ventures, Aviva Capital Partners, UK CIO, FP&A and others.
- Develop a deep understanding of the source of financial risk and return (both solvency and liquidity) across the Group and insurance peers more broadly.
- Manage the effective & timely delivery of relevant & accurate financial risk MI for internal and external publication purposes, most notably the Group CRO report.
- Conduct deep-dives related to relevant topic themes.
- Support wider innovation / automation by partnering with the Risk Analytics Team where required and support transition (where relevant) of these models to finance.
What are we looking for?
At least 6 years of experience in the actuarial field.Understand Solvency II / UK, capital and liquidity risk management principles.Bring sound judgement to facts / data, with strong technical / analytic / modelling skills.Very meticulous with a strong attention to detail.A strong team player who can also work independently.Knowledge of Aviva’s risk profile and internal systems will be considered a strong advantage.Ability to work successfully in virtual teams and to build relationships / trust / network both within the team and across Aviva.Experience with automation tools (e.g., R, Python, VBA).Eager to innovate and improve processes.Very good command of English.In Aviva Services Excellence Centre, we provide :
