About the project
As a Data Scientist within the Data Science team (IT department), you will actively contribute to a highly strategic project at Geopost : building the Digital Twin of operations. You will strengthen a team of young and talented data scientists, data engineers, and developers. You will also be frequently in contact with the business. Your impact will be decisive for this high-stakes, long-term project
Your responsibilities
Analyze data & business needsContribute to the evaluation and adoption of new technologiesFind out innovative ways to reach complex goals with limited resourcesContribute to the framing of projects with Business and IT stakeholdersMonitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and infrastructure to minimize downtime and resolve issues quicklySupport users during rollouts to facilitate services adoptionExtract, analyze and transform dataDevelop and maintain state-of-the-Art algorithms to contribute to the digital twin of Geopost Operations : to modelize, detect, store, simulate, predict and optimize behaviors of parcels, linehauls, depots, etc.Ensure reliability and scalability of developmentsDevelop, deploy and monitor reliable digital services capable of scaling upContribute to finding the most relevant technical solutions in terms of storage, distributed processing, modeling, etc.Actively participate in the life of the Data Science team in a spirit of transparency, solidarity and excellenceCollaborate with other IT teams to enforce good relationships and best practicesDocument technical solutions, workflows, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboardingPresent the results to Geopost management and to the Group's various IT and business stakeholdersOur requirements
5+ years of experience in data scienceKnowledge & experience in solving optimization problem, especially in MILPExcellent communication skills.Fluent EnglishTechnical stack code : Python, Pandas, scikit-learn,Technical stack data : SQL, Parquet, S3, Dremio / TrinoTechnical stack CI / CD : Gitlab, Nexus, VaultTechnical stack execution : Docker, Kubernetes, AirFlow, KestraTechnical stack logging : Loki, Prometheus, GrafanaOptional
