Job Summary
This role provides comprehensive project management for client software delivery – collaborating with internal software developers and technical consultants and working directly with our top‑tier clients. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic technical project manager with a passion for leading software consulting projects that deliver exceptional value to clients. Responsibilities
Cultivate and manage highly functional teams comprised of SharePoint Consultants and SharePoint Developers through all phases of the delivery lifecycle.Facilitate team project syncs, remove blockers, and communicate effectively to maximize productivity and maintain a high level of team satisfaction.Perform capacity planning in advance to ensure all team members are fully utilized, with no gaps in schedules or lulls in productivity.Project Planning & ExecutionLead the creation and execution of project plans, including milestone planning from kickoff to go‑live, while addressing delays and implementing corrective actions as necessary.Manage day‑to‑day operational aspects of projects, including deliverables, estimates, financials, and schedules, to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.Maintain ownership of client satisfaction, company profitability, and project team workload.Scope & Change ManagementEnsure alignment with clients on project scope, timelines, and budgets.Perform impact analysis for scope change requests and document changes and prepare change orders for client approval.Communicate realistic timelines and manage expectations as changes or delays occur.Process & Methodology ExpertiseApply expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to adapt and enforce the company’s unique delivery process effectively.Facilitate clear and effective communication about project status, risks, and changes in scope.Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and team workflows.Quality Assurance & Risk MitigationMonitor project progress and assess risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed to ensure successful outcomes.Uphold high‑quality standards for all deliverables, ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations.Operational EfficiencyEnsure team members log time weekly and appropriately to maximize billable hours and utilization rates.Review invoices for accuracy before sending to clients and coordinate adjustments with Finance as necessary.Communication & ReportingProvide clear, consistent updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, milestones, and scope changes.Serve as the client’s go‑to contact for requirements gathering, solutioning, or development, while ensuring cross‑functional collaboration between all involved teams.Ensure timely signoffs at key project stages to maintain workflow and financial alignment.Ensure PMs deliver high‑quality project updates, reports, and risk assessments for leadership and clients.Process ImprovementEstablish and refine project management methodologies, ensuring consistency across projects.Define and enforce project management standards, tools, and documentation requirements.Contribute to business strategy by identifying trends in project execution and recommending improvements.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Project Management, Business, or a related field (MBA a plus)5+ years of experience in IT project management, in a consulting capacityExceptional organizational and leadership skillsA client‑first mindset with a focus on building long‑term relationshipsDemonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple high‑impact projects simultaneously in a consulting or client‑facing environmentProven track record in managing technical implementation or enhancement projectsExtensive experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including technical, business, and client stakeholders, in a consulting or fast‑paced environmentExperience with Jira, SharePoint and Microsoft OfficeProven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in scope, leveraging project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) as appropriateConfidence in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategiesStrong ability to communicate project status and manage expectations with stakeholders at all levelsExperience managing change requests and ensuring smooth transitions during project updatesExcellent interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, and team leadershipExcellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting ideas, reports, and updatesStrong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex technical, process, and project‑related challenges efficientlyPreferred experience on enterprise collaboration platforms such as SharePoint or related Microsoft technologiesThis is full‑time remote position. You can work from anywhere but must be available to support North American clients and colleagues in multiple time zones. Primary work hours are 9‑5 ET.
