Senior Purchaser

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Purchaser to strengthen Fortum's Renewables & Decarbonisation Procurement Team.

As a Purchaser, you shall execute procurement cases related to Growth and Investment projects, support operations and investments for our Heating and Cooling and ensure that materials and services are ordered according to business needs and timelines.

You will be working closely with Heating and Cooling Poland business, report to Senior Manager, H&C POL Procurement, be a member of the H&C procurement team and participate in your business area procurement development.

Location of the job is Fortum H&C PL office in Wrocław or Częstochowa or Zabrze, Poland.

This job also requires limited travelling to project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's goals and project requirements.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, prepare RfP’s, evaluate proposals, negotiate contract terms, and establish strong partnerships to ensure reliable supply chains.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineering teams to define procurement requirements, scope of supply and ensure timely procurement process to meet project schedules.
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative sourcing approaches.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the procurement function.
