Opportunity
By joining our team, you will assist clients in enhancing their supply chain efficiency. Utilizing EY GDS‑SC&O's proprietary frameworks, you will help clients improve the reliability, flexibility, and responsiveness of their supply chain while reducing total cost.
Your key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the extended teams and clients to design and implement effective supply chain transformation projects for diverse industries.
- Analyze current spend and allocation model, establish sourcing strategies to enhance competitiveness, reduce costs, and optimize the supply chain.
- Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing events such as RFP, RPQ, commercial negotiations, reviewing proposals, and comparing / benchmarking rates.
- Assess the maturity level of procurement processes and initiate improvements to the current processes and systems / technologies.
- Design procurement solutions, create operating models, governance frameworks and conduct workshops.
- Review and validate data and further build optimization models, analytical reports and presentations.
- Conduct secondary research / market intelligence to back client deliverables.
- Participate actively in building an industry focused practice across EY GDS service lines; specialization in a specific sector will be an added advantage.
- Acquire knowledge of new‑age procurement and finance tools such as Ariba, COUPA, Ivalua, SAP MM, PP etc. and work on process design / re‑engineering / implementation projects related to the process and / or tool.
- Provide solutions to unstructured problems.
Skills and attributes for success
Experience in strategic procurement, category management (direct and / or indirect spend).Effective communication skills and experience in customer‑facing role.Ability to work independently and proactive.To qualify for the role, you must have
Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience.Knowledge of procurement methodologies : procurement matrix, vendor selection and evaluation methods.Sourcing, offer analysis and benchmarking.Strategic approach and negotiation skills.Understanding of legal and contractual requirements.Expertise in end‑to‑end procurement process covering one or more of the following areas : spend analytics, E2E process redesign, source to contract, procure to pay, data integration, etc.Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.Entrepreneurial mindset, design thinking and passion for improvement and optimization.Ideally, you’ll also have
Experience in data visualization using Tableau / Power BI / QlikView etc.What we offer
