Twój zakres obowiązków

• Working as an independent and reliable contributor in R&D projects with limited supervision.
• Leading or supporting R&D teams with cost reduction activities for energy distribution products (following Design for Assembly, Design for Manufacturing analysis, Should Cost analysis methodologies).
• Supporting a risk analysis for individual products or systems (following FMEA, Reliability Analysis methodologies)
• Facilitating workshops with international cross-functional teams.
• Preparing documentation and presenting analysis results to customers

The Division offers segment-specific products and solutions that largely serve utilities, industry and infrastructure segments, often providing the requisite medium-voltage link between high-voltage transmission systems and low-voltage users. With ABB Ability™ enabled connected solutions at its core, the offering includes medium-voltage air- and gas-insulated switchgear (1 to 66 kilovolts), indoor and outdoor circuit breakers, reclosers, fuses, contactors, relays, instrument transformers, sensors, motor control centers, as well as low-voltage switchgear for the ANSI standard markets.

If you’re an engineer with passion to product cost effective design, this is a perfect opportunity for you. You will join the team of experts focused on cost reduction but also on risk assessment working on energy distribution products.

Your role will be to lead / take part in cost optimization analyses of newly designed products providing in the systematic way ideas and recommendations to product designer in order to minimize final product cost.

If you find yourself in risk analysis of new products looking for product failure early identification you will get an opportunity as well on this field.

As Quality Assurance R&D Engineer you’ll be reporting to R&D Team Manager located in Cracow and you will become the member of ELDS Technology Center Poland.
