Calypso Application Engineer

PROJECT INFORMATION :

Industry : banking

Location : hybrid work (1 day a week from the office in Gdansk or Gdynia )

Remuneration : up to about PLN / H net + VAT (we are open to negotiation)

Start : ASAP (to be agreed)

Project duration : long term

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Conducting daily production and pre-production operations in the Calypso application (application code CALY).

Answering Business requests via email, performing daily monitoring of CalMON system and completing the daily sanity checks on Calypso application.

Resolving technical issues with Calypso teams and teams outside the Calypso project.

Managing IT services.

Acting as part of the CI Calypso team, so :

Providing functional and technical expertise on Calypso from both Front Office and Back Office perspectives,

Managing requests (users and other IT teams),

Managing operations,

Monitoring applications,

Managing incidents,

Managing problems,

Ensuring continuous improvement of services.

Monitoring of EOD workflow.

Updating and creating documentation, being part of the change schedule and attending daily meetings.

Managing SLAs and KPIs, communication and interaction with the customer.

Performing predictive analytics, consulting, managing escalation, analyzing risks and executing projects.

REQUIREMENTS :

5+ years experience in support activity overall.

Knowledge on Calypso application (at least version V16 and V17) for 4+ Years with 2-3 years of experience in investment / trading Banking Operations.

ITIL certification V3 or V4.

Knowledge of major market regulatory body’s rules is an advantage.

Strong knowledge in Configuration Management..

Strong knowledge in XML, SQL, PL / SQL, MQ Series, CFT and Control-M.

Knowledge of monitoring solution (e.g. CalMon, Splunk).

Pro-active initiative to identify saving and efficient gain.

Careful observance of standards and processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical or troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work well under pressure.

Autonomous, self-motivated and excellent team player.

Strong perseverance and diligence.

Highly proficient in spoken and written English.

Financial knowledge, background.

Ability to follow, scale the skill matrix.

Be open to conducting deployments on weekends and after work hours.

Exposure to Capital Markets applications (Calypso – must have, different e.g. Murex…) is an advantage.

Knowledge in Capital Market FO / BO environment is an advantage.
